Raya informs Brentford of his departure to Arsenal

Brentford goalkeeper David Raya has reached a personal agreement with Arsenal and is close to moving to Emirates Stadium this summer.

The report also revealed Raya has also told the Bees about his desire to join their Premier League rivals this summer.

This is expected to speed up a deal between Arsenal and Brentford.

This was made public by popular football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, on Tuesday.

“Understand David Raya has reached an agreement in principle with Arsenal on personal terms.

“Brentford have been informed by the player’s side that he wants to join Arsenal — and talks between clubs over formula/price are now expected to accelerate,” Romano wrote.

While Mikel Arteta is keen on signing Raya to create competition for Aaron Ramsdale, whose form has been fluctuating for a while, some football experts have warned the Brentford goalie from moving to the North London side as he would battle for game time.
