Pre-season: Gyokeres makes debut as Arsenal lose to Tottenham

Arsenal’s new signings Viktor Gyokeres and Cristhian Mosquera made their debuts in a pre-season clash against their North London neighbours Tottenham on Thursday in Hong Kong.
Gyokeres and Mosquera made their debut after impressing in an open training session earlier in the week.
While Mosquera came in around 13 minutes left in the game, replacing Jakub Kiwior and joining William Saliba in defence, Gyokeres came in in the 77th minute.
The striker was introduced as a replacement for Kai Havertz in the forward line.
The game, however, ended in a defeat for Arsenal as Pape Matar Sarr scored the only goal for Tottenham in the first half.
The highlight showed the moment Arsenal goalkeeper, David Raya, passed the ball into the middle where Myles Lewis-Skelly was dispossessed.
Sarr spotted Raya off his line, scooping the ball over him into the net.
Arsenal had previously defeated AC Milan and Newcastle United in their first two fixtures in Asia. They will now play against Athletic Bilbao and Villarreal in the Emirates Cup.
The Gunners will hope to return to winning ways in their next game and hopefully Gyokeres will score his first goal.
