Arsenal Urged to Consider Move for Manchester City Midfielder

Arsenal have been encouraged to explore a summer move for Manchester City midfielder Jack Grealish, as speculation grows over the England international’s future at the Etihad Stadium.
Grealish endured a difficult 2024/25 season under Pep Guardiola, making just seven Premier League starts and falling down the pecking order. His omission from City’s Club World Cup squad further suggests that the 29-year-old is no longer central to the club’s plans. Despite City reportedly setting a £40 million asking price, there have been no formal offers for the midfielder so far.
Former Premier League champion Colin Hendry, speaking to Coin Poker, believes Arsenal would be wise to consider a move. “It looks like Jack’s City days are numbered,” Hendry said. “He’s not played nearly enough football, and being left out of the Club World Cup squad says a lot. This summer will be a crucial turning point in his career. He needs to find a club that values him and gives him regular minutes.”
Hendry added that Arsenal could be an ideal fit, citing Mikel Arteta’s system and the club’s recent progress as reasons for Grealish to consider a switch to North London.
Arsenal, who are looking to strengthen their squad following a second-place finish in the Premier League, may view Grealish as a valuable and experienced addition — particularly if City are open to negotiating on price.
With the transfer window now open, Grealish’s next move could define the next chapter of his career.
