Arsenal get boost to sign Eriksen if they consider a swap deal
Arsenal have gotten a boost to sign Christian Eriksen from Inter Milan in the January transfer window.
The report disclosed that Inter Milan are set to offer Eriksen to Arsenal if the Gunners consider a swap deal that would see Granit Xhaka move to San Siro.
Eriksen has been tipped to leave San Siro in the January transfer window having struggled to make his mark in the Italian Seria A.
He had first been linked with a return to Tottenham Hotspur but coach Jose Mourinho had stated that his side were not interested in bringing him back.
Arsenal, however, happens to be one of the clubs in the Premier League who have shown interest in Denmark international.
A report via Tuttosport claims that Inter Milan have placed a £27m asking price on Eriksen but will consider a swap deal as an alternative as they hope to let him leave in January.
Xhaka has been a regular player at Arsenal this season, although the Switzerland international’s performances have been often criticised.
With Arsenal lacking enough creative midfielders, it is unlikely that they will accede to Inter Milan’s request for a swap deal. The Gunners will only consider the option if they can sign a new midfielder in January.
Arsenal will return to action on Sunday when they face Burnley in the Premier League.
