Manchester United have revealed their plan for the new season and it appears to be some what of a relief for manager, Erik ten Hag.

According to the report, Ten Hag is not under pressure to finish in the Premier League top four in the forthcoming season.

Man Utd’s Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS group are said to be more focused on changing the structure around the club than finishing in the top four.

So far the British billionaire has made some changes off the pitch at Old Trafford, including signing a sporting director, Dan Ashworth.

Recall that the Red Devils finished at the eighth spot on the log last season, which was their worst-ever finish in the Premier League era.

This led to some fans calling for Ten Hag’s sack but he managed to save his job by winning the FA Cup.

While fans will be expecting that the club will make significant improvements in the new campaign, the UK Guardian reported that Ratcliffe has not given any specific target to Ten Hag.

The reports also revealed that INEOS are at the moment focused on improving the existing infrastructure of the club and have given approval of a £50million overhaul of the Carrington training base.
