Former Manchester United stat, Paul Scholes has sent a message to the club about their summer transfer window plan.

Scholes urged the Red Devils to bolster their options in attack by signing a ‘proven’ centre-forward before the end of the transfer window.

So far this summer Man United have seal a deal for Bologna attacker Joshua Zirkzee.

They have also signed Lille defender Leny Yoro to their options at the back.

Scholes, however, believes what Man Utd need next is an experienced centre-forward.

While speaking via Sky Sports, Scholes said when he thinks about Manchester United, he thinks about brilliant centre-forwards.

Scholes singled out the Red Devils striker Rasmus Hojlund who they have had to rely on which he considered a little bit unfair.

According to Scholes, Hojlund is a young player, who is still learning the game.

The former Red Devils star believes Man Utd need somebody who has a proven record which will help them to go on and be successful next season.

Recall that the Red Devils managed to lift the FA Cup trophy last season after they defeated Man City in the finals.

They also finished outside the top four which almost cost manager Erik ten Hag is job.
