Manchester United midfielder and France International Paul Pogba has set a high demand for the club before he can sign a new contract.

Pogba is demanding to become the Premier League’s best-paid player above teammate and Portugal international Cristiano Ronaldo, according to L’Equipe reports.

This comes as the French midfielder’s current deal will end in June 2022, but he would be able to negotiate with clubs outside England from January.

The reports revealed that Man United are yet to reach an agreement over new terms with the France international and are reportedly ready to lose him on a free transfer next summer.

Pogba “has made no secret” of his intention to remain at Old Trafford but want to do so if he gets a staggering pay rise.

As of now, Ronaldo is the top earner at Man United, after signing a £480,000-a-week on his return last summer.

Pogba, on the other hand, is believed to be on a contract worth £290,000 a week.
