PSG coach Mauricio Pochettino has been named as one of the favourites that could replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Old Trafford, according to the Telegraph.

The report claimed that Pochettino is keen on making a return to the Premier League after Tottenham Hotspur sacked him.

There are indications that things could change at Old Trafford after the international break, and the outcome could see whether Solskjaer would be sacked or not.

Man Utd have undergone difficult times this season, especially with their shameful loss to rivals Man City and Liverpool.

Since the arrival of the Norwegian at Old Trafford, they have not won a single trophy, and this season is also looking like they would go trophyless.

Pochettino is reportedly Man United’s number one target, as he has a number of admirers at Old Trafford, which includes veteran coach Sir Alex Ferguson.

But Man Utd would be ready to spend heavily to secure the signing of the Argentine as Paris Saint-Germain recently triggered a clause in his contract to extend his deal until 2023.

There are claims that Pochettino is slightly disappointed at PSG over the criticism he has received since signing to the club despite topping in French Ligue 1 and dominating the Champions League this campaign.
