Newcastle United targets Man Utd defender
Newcastle United are said to be monitoring Man Utd defender, Brandon Williams as a target they could sign in the soon to commence January transfer window.
The reports revealed the Magpies could make a loan offer to the Red Devils for the 20-year-old, who is a very talented player who can play at the left-back, right-back or as a wing-back which makes him a good option for Newcastle who need a player in that area, with Paul Dummett yet to play this season.
It is believed that Newcastle will be able to sign Williams from Man Utd because of the good relationship between manager Steve Bruce, his former Old Trafford team-mate Mike Phelan and current Man United boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Man City challenge Man Utd and Chelsea for this 24-year-old midfielder
The only challenge for the Magpies would be Southampton, who are also keen on signing Williams after a failed attempt to bring him to St Mary’s in September.
Considering the fact that the youngster has only made just one appearance in the Premier League and four in all competitions, the Red Devils will be ready to let me go out only on loan as they see him as one of the players to look out for in future.
