Martial debunk claim that he didn’t to play for Man Utd vs Aston Villa
Man Utd were held to a 2-2 draw in their EPL clash vs Aston Villa on Saturday.
The match started with the Red Devils having the early lead before Aston Villa finally equalised.
In a post-match statement, Man Utd player debunked the claim made by coach Ralf Rangnick that he didn’t want to play the match.
Martial is keen on leaving Old Trafford, and Sevilla seems to be his next destination as they are the only ones interested in signing him.
The Frenchman was not a part of the Man Utd squad at Villa Park even though they had only eight players on the bench, including two goalkeepers.
After the match vs Aston Villa, Rangnick said: “Martial didn’t want to be in the squad.”
“He would have been in the squad normally, but he didn’t want to. That is the reason why he was not travelling with us yesterday (on Friday).”
However, in a latest report, Martial, in a post via his Instagram story, wrote: “I will never refuse to play a match for Man United.
“I’ve been here for seven years, and I never disrespected and will never disrespect the club and the fans.”
