Manchester United are impressed with the performance of veteran strike Edinson Cavani and are willing to offer him a new deal after reports surfaced online about a move linking him to Boca Juniors this summer.

Cavani have defied all odds by putting in impressive performance ever since he joined Manchester United from Paris Saint-Germain as his goals and assist have ensured his team stay up on the log.

However, reports in South America on Monday claimed the striker was ready to take a substantial pay cut to return to South America and sign a three-year contract.

Boca Juniors have been tipped as his next destination but that rumour has been downplayed both in Argentina and in England.

According to a report from the Daily Mail, Manchester United will hold talks with the former Napoli forward over his future in the coming days.

The reports noted that and talks were planned before Monday’s reports emerged and United believes a deal will be struck with Cavani before any club offers him one.

Though Cavani has missed some matches through injury and suspension, he has been able to score six Premier League goals and fans are willing to see more of him.
