Man Utd take decision on Ten Hag’s future after embarrassing defeat to Tottenham
Manchester United’s recent defeat to North London club Tottenham Hotspur has remained in the news with some Red Devils fans calling for manager Erik ten Hag’s sack.
The club’s hierarchy has, however, chosen to give Ten Hag more time as they throw their weight behind him.
A report via the UK Telegraph, however, disclosed that the Dutchman is now under “intense scrutiny”.
The result against Tottenham means, Man Utd have failed to score in three of their last four EPL matches and now sit 12th on the log.
Ten Hag has helped the Red Devils win the Carabao Cup and FA Cup in his two years at Old Trafford.
Report revealed that Man United sporting director Dan Ashworth, chief executive Omar Berrada, technical director Jason Wilcox and club board director Sir Dave Brailsford were present as Tottenham dominated the Red Devils at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils’ hierarchy remain supportive of Ten Hag for the main time, as no change is expected in the dug out ahead of crucial Europa League and Premier League matches against Porto and Aston Villa this week.
Those matches will carry Man United into the international break this season.
