Manchester United’s performance against Tottenham Hotspur at their home stadium has seen Everton defender, Ashley Young slammed Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho following as they lost three points to the visitors on Sunday.

Young, who once rocked a Man United jersey, claimed Rashford and Garnancho played with ‘no confidence’ against Tottenham at Old Trafford.

The duo of Rashford and Garnacho were unable to come through for  Erik ten Hag’s side as Tottenham won with three goals thanks to efforts from Brennan Johnson, Dejan Kulusevski and Dominic Solanke.

In a statement via Sky Sports, Young said  he was not impressed with Rashford and Garnacho.

He recalled how the two wingers were going one-v-one and instead of going to attack the space in behind, they’d rather go back and play the safe pass.

“That is when you know you’ve got a winger with no confidence,”Young said.

According to Young, a winger’s eyes are supposed to light up when they see a one-v-one, that is your time to shine.

Young stated that when players are not doing that, turning it down and wanting to go backwards, tends to end badly.
