Manchester United have been handed a major boost in person of Leny Yoro.

This comes as the Red Devils shared a positive update about Yoro’s injury recovery.

Recall that Man Utd beat Spanish giants Real Madrid to sign Yoro in the summer transfer window, with the defender arriving at Old Trafford from Lille for an initial €62m (£52.2m) fee.

However, Yoro’s arrival at Man Utd came with injury as he is still waiting to make his debut after fracturing the fifth metatarsal in his left foot in the club’s pre-season tour of the USA.

Recall that the Red Devils confirmed the 18-year-old defender would be out for around three months after undergoing foot surgery in the summer.

Owing to this, manager Erik ten Hag has been unable to make use of Yoro for the 12 competitive matches of the 2024-25 season.

Man United in a recent update revealed that he has progressed to the ‘next phase’ of his recovery.

The club posted picture of Yoro working out on the grass for the first time in his rehabilitation from foot surgery via its official website.

Man Utd added that their no.15 has now progressed to the next phase in the process but there is no detail on when he would rejoin the team.
