Manchester United are preparing for life without Casemiro ahead of of the January transfer window.

This comes as the former chief scout Mick Brown in a recent statement said that Man Utd will attempt to sell Casemiro when the January window opens.

Recall that the Brazilian was linked with a transfer from Old Trafford over the recent summer, with several clubs from the Saudi Pro League believed to be interested in signing him.

However, he remained at Old Trafford as the transfer window closed.

The 32-year-old midfielder started the 2024-25 campaign in the first squad, but he has not started in the Premier League since the start of September, having fallen down the pecking order in terms of the midfield spots.

Brown in a statement via Football Insider said the Red Devils will look to cash in on him as soon as they can.

Casemiro is of the biggest wage-earners at Old Trafford and is not featured regularly in the first team.

Brown pointed out that the Brazilian has been benched because he hasn’t been performing and can’t do it any more.

He added that the Red Devils will love to offload Casemiro if they could get an offer for him.

Casemiro in his first season for the Red Devils was impressive but have failed to replicate the same this campaign.
