I’m Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag’s reign at Old Trafford has finally come to an end after weeks of speculations.

Recall that Ten Hag has been under intense pressure since the commencement of the season over Man Utd’s poor form.

The Dutchman was on the verge of being sacked last season but managed to retain his job after winning the FA Cup.

However, this season the Red Devils continue to struggled as they sit outside the top ten on the league table.

On Monday, Manchester United’s hierarchy caused a buzz after they announced the sack of the Red Devils manager Ten Hag.

The club has revealed that Ruud van Nistelrooy will take charge as interim head coach of Manchester United.

Ten Hag was in charge for two-and-a-half-year spell.

The Dutchman was appointed in April 2022 and led the Red Devils to two domestic trophies, winning the Carabao Cup in 2023 and the FA Cup in 2024.

The 54-year-old former Ajax manager was backed by new co-owners INEOS in the summer with a contract extension until June 2026.

Nistelrooy is likely to remain in charge at Old Trafford till they are able to find a replacement for Ten Hag.
