Who would become Liverpool next coach after Klopp

Football pundit, Jamie Carragher in a recent statement, has tipped Brendan Rodgers as his favourite to replace Jurgen Klopp when the Germany coach leaves Liverpool.

Recall that Klopp in 2015 took over the reins at Liverpool after he replaced Rodgers; however, the reputation of the Northern Irishman has gone higher following spells at Celtic and Leicester City.

Rodgers, during his time as the Reds coach, was closed to guiding them to their first Premier League title since 1990, but a disappointing end saw them lost it to Manchester City in the 2013/14 campaign.

Carragher, who was a player under Rodgers for a year at Anfield, believes the Irishman could be allowed to return to Anfield if Klopp eventually leaves the club.

“I am a huge fan of Brendan Rodgers and think he’s a brilliant manager, I really do,” Carragher told Sky Sports about Rodgers.

“I have worked with him for 12 months at Liverpool and I think this job came too early for him.

“If Jurgen Klopp was to leave Liverpool tomorrow, Brendan Rodgers would be top of the list.”
