More woes for Liverpool as this first team player is set to leave in the summer
While Liverpool have been struggling to perform this season after being unable to repeat the feat that saw them win the EPL title last season, it looks like more woes await them.
The Reds are currently seated out of the top four on the log table and according to the recent report, one of their first team players, Georgino Wijnadum has agreed to leave the club in the summer transfer window.
The report revealed that the 30-year-old player has been unable to reach an agreement at Anfield and is set to leave the club.
The report has linked him with moves to the Italian Seria A where he could sign for Inter Milan.
He has also been tipped to move to Spanish side, Barcelona where he could reunite with former Netherlands manager Ronald Koeman.
However, journalists in Italy have claimed that a move to San Siro is the most likely to happen in the summer.
In a statement with Sports Mediaset, journalist Claudio Raimond said: “It’s a low-profile and free agents market: [Guiseppe] Marotta therefore looks to Georginio Wijnaldum.”
Another sport journalist Sandro Sabatini adwent on to state that Inter already have some form of agreement with Wijnaldum since last year but they decided to wait till the end of his contract at Anfield in do it on a free transfer.
Wijnaldum is a key player at Liverpool and has made 24 starts for the Reds this season.
