Worried: Former Arsenal star reacts to Lampard’s return to Chelsea

Former Arsenal star, Ian Wright, has in a recent statement reacted to Frank Lampard’s return to Chelsea.

Lampard’s first game at Chelsea which ended in defeat as the west London side fell 1-0 to Premier League relegation-battlers Wolves.

Wright has expressed worry on the Englishman’s return to his former club on an interim basis as Chelsea’s hierarchy will wait until the summer to appoint a permanent boss.

According to Wright, Lampard’s appointment might not end on a good note as he stressed that he is confused by the appointment.

“It’s really difficult for me because we’re close,” he told his podcast.

“I’m afraid, I just want him to do well. I’m afraid because it’s not gone too well for him up to this point. I’m just worried for a friend.

“Does this move help him? I’m very confused and worried about the whole thing.

“I don’t know, and I’m not sure how this benefits him.”
