Former Man Utd star and pundit Gary Neville has applauded Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel for his decision to drop Romelu Lukaku during their game vs Liverpool on Sunday.

According to Neville, Tuchel made the right call to drop Lukaku as he added that the former Inter Milan star is not committed and is always unprofessional.

Lukaku was dropped out of the Blues squad after his recent interview with Sky Italia.

The Belgian criticised Tuchel’s style of football and revealed he’s unhappy with the current situation at Chelsea.

“I think he’s [Tuchel] made absolutely the right call. I think if we are looking at it from a neutral and a media point of view we can’t criticize Romelu Lukaku for being honest,” Neville said on Sky Sports.

However, I have to say if I was a Chelsea manager, player, fan or owner I would be absolutely furious.

“I remember when he was at Old Trafford I didn’t feel he was committed at Old Trafford a few years ago and it’s your own club.

“I didn’t feel he was committed at Old Trafford. I didn’t shed a tear when he left because I didn’t feel he was always professional.”
