Why Lakaku is a time bomb at Chelsea waiting to explode
Sports pundit Jamie Carragher has sent a piece of advice to Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel concerning Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku.
According to Carragher, Tuchel is dealing with a ‘timebomb’ in the person of Lukaku.
The Belgian striker returned to Chelsea last summer in a £97million move from Inter Milan.
While he started the season on a good note, he seemed to have lost his form and was heavily criticised by Tuchel for his performance against Manchester City and Brighton.
Carragher believes it is best for Chelsea to sell Lukaku in June in order to put together a squad truly capable of winning the English Premier League title.
“Thomas Tuchel is managing the same striker who prompted Manchester United to run out of patience and sell him to Inter Milan,” the Liverpool legend told Telegraph.
“That’s why I can’t help but think there is a timebomb in the Chelsea dressing room, with the player and club already losing patience with each other.”
In another report, Lukaku is likely to start for Chelsea when they return to action on Sunday to face Tottenham Hotspurs in the EPL.
