Chelsea returned to winning way in the Premier League as they defeated Leicester City on Tuesday night in a game that ended with a 2-1 scoreline and has helped them cement their spot on the log table.

The Blues recent win is coming after they suffered two defeats in a row; against Arsenal in the EPL and against Leicester City on the FA Cup final.

However, during the match, Chelsea key midfielder, N’Golo Kante was removed in the first half raising injury speculation.

Kante was replaced by Matteo Kovacic who has been out of the team since April over a hamstring injury.

Following the match, Chelsea coach, Thomas Tuchel revealed he is hoping Kante has not been injured as he’s expected to play in the match vs. Aston Villa and also in the Champions League final vs. Man City.

“He told me he went out before an injury. He felt his hamstrings, he was worried that he’d get injured if he continued to play.

“So we put out Kova [Kovacic] . That was a huge risk but it was the moment to take risk as it was a game of highest importance. I am happy it worked out.

“Hopefully NG [Kante] will come back, we are a different team with him,” Tuchel said.
