Why Felix joined Chelsea from Atletico Madrid

Portugal international Joao Felix has shared reason he opted to join Chelsea from Spanish side Atletico Madrid despite interest from Man Utd, Arsenal among others.

According to Felix, he favoured a move to Chelsea because they are one of the great teams in the world as he shared how excited he is on his switch to Stamford Bridge.

Recall that Felix completed a loan transfer from Atletico Madrid to Chelsea this January, he would, however, return to Spain after six months as the Blues are unable to sign him permanently.

Reacting after completing his move to Chelsea, the Portugal international told Chelsea’s official website:

“Chelsea is one of the great teams in the world, and I hope to help the team reach its objectives, so I am very, very happy to be here and very excited to play at Stamford Bridge.”
