Manchester United defender and now former captain Harry Maguire may consider game time elsewhere if the opportunity comes.

This comes as a report via Sky Sport revealed Maguire is considering his options after his captaincy was taken away from him at Man Utd by manager Erik ten Hag.

According to the report, clubs within and outside the EPL are closely monitoring Maguire’s situation at Old Trafford, with West Ham being among those interested in the England defender.

The Hammers are said to be considering the option of either a loan or a permanent deal for the 30-year-old star.

However, they are conscious wages could prove to be a problem if a deal was to be agreed between them and Man Utd.

Aside from Maguire, West Ham also have Torino’s Perr Schuurs, Bayer Leverkusen’s Jonathan Tah and Luiz Felipe from Real Betis as their targets.

With Maguire’s captaincy band gone, there are chances that the Red Devils will listen to offers from interested clubs, whose contract doesn’t expire until 2025.
