Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi has reacted to his team loss against rivals Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium as he noted that they let themselves down.

Frank Lampard and his team stumbled to a 3-1 loss as Arsenal ensured that their season revival starts against their London rivals who were favourite ahead of the match.

A well taken penalty kick by Alexandre Lacazette and Granit Xhaka’s free-kick in the first half ensured that Arsenal were on the verge of winning their first Premier League match since their win against Manchester United in November.

Bukayo Saka scored a wonderful goal in the second half and despite a goal from Tammy Abraham, Chelsea could not come back to at least snatch a draw against Arsenal.

Hudson-Odoi who was introduced in the second half alongside Jorginho noted that at 2-0 down the team kept pushing until the end but unfortunately they could not get the result and it felt like they let themselves down.

The England International stated that the team know they can do much better than they played but they should have put the same energy that was used in the second half in the first half as well.

He added that the team must now ensure that they keep working hard so as to get the maximum three points next time they storm the pitch to play.
