Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has slammed his players performance after an embarrassing defeat to Arsenal at the Emirate Stadium.

Mikel Arteta has not won any Premier League match ever since they defeated Manchester United 1-0 in November and have been labelled as the underdog ahead of their match against Chelsea.

However, the Gunners put up an impressive performance as goals from Alexandre Lacazette, Granit Xhaka and Bukayo Saka ensured that the Gunners secure their first league win since November 1st.

Frank Lampard who looked devastated on the pitch bemoaned his team over their attitude towards the match as he also takes responsibility for the loss.

Lampard while speaking to Sky Sport after the match noted that their performance wasn’t good enough.

According to the young manager, his players fought in the second half, but in the first half, they gave themselves too much to do.

The introduction of Callum Hudson-Odoi and Jorginho brought some glimpse of hope as Lampard noted that they added speed, energy and intensity to the team.

Lampard took responsibility on the outside but insisted that the players also have to take responsibility, adding that he’s angry as that was their opportunity of moving to second spot on the league table.
