Villarreal star set for medicals at Chelsea

The latest report via Sky Sports revealed Villarreal forward, Nicolas Jackson, is currently in London where he is set to have his Chelsea medical on Sunday.

This latest update means the Blues are close to a final agreement with Villarreal over the signing of the striker this summer transfer window.

Villarreal wanted the €35million release clause paid in full for Jackson’s signature and it seems Chelsea are ready to meet the demand.

This comes as the report revealed Chelsea will pay slightly more than the clause in exchange for more favourable payment terms.

It further revealed that personal agreement on a long-term contract has been agreed in principle between Chelsea and Jackson.

There are also claims that Chelsea’s new permanent manager Mauricio Pochettino identified the 22-year-old attacker as a potential solution to the club’s striking issues.

With Kai Havertz on his way out and Romelu Lukaku’s desire not to return to Stamford Bridge, signing a new striker has become necessary for Chelsea this summer.
