Chelsea will return to action on Tuesday night in the Uefa Champions League as they play their first match of the season against Dinamo Zagreb in Croatia.

Ahead of the match, the Blues manager Thomas Tuchel has revealed they would be without their key midfielder and France international N’Golo Kante and Brazil defender Thiago Silva.

Kante has been out of action for the Blues for some while now and he continues to be out with a hamstring injury.

However, in the case of Silva, the Brazil star is fit to play but was left back in England so that he can have a break from travelling and the stress of playing every minute in intense matches.

‘We decided with Thiago that he will have a break from travelling and from the stress after he has played every minute so far in very intense matches,’ Tuchel explained, ‘so it was the moment to give him a break instead of putting him on the bench and he has to travel. He can take care of his recovery.’
