Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has revealed that his side will be without four of their key players when they face Malmo in the Uefa Champions League on Tuesday night.

Tuchel revealed the four players to be Timo Werner, Romelu Lukaku, Mateo Kovacic and Mason Mount.

The Blues made this announcement on Monday during his pre-match press conference.

Chelsea will head to the game tonight after their recent 3-0 win over Newcastle United in the Premier League over the weekend, that has now seen them sit confidently at the top of the EPL log with three points ahead of Liverpool, who are at the second spot.

Tuchel said, “These four players are out, unfortunately. But for Timo, Romelu and Kova, no surprise.

“Mason doesn’t feel better; it’s not COVID.

“He’s just ill. Christian Pulisic is back and back in the squad for tomorrow.”

The duo of Lukaku and Werner sustained injuries during the first leg of the Blues game vs Malmo and have been unavailable since then.

There are speculations that they will not join the team until after the next international break.
