The Blues will return to action tonight in the UCL when they host Real Madrid at Stamford Bridge after a shameful defeat to Brentford in the EPL over the weekend.

America international Christian Pulisic is expected to start for the Blues when they face the Los Blancos, having missed their match vs Brentford.

Ben Chilwell is unavailable, and Callum Hudson-Odoi’s Achilles and back problems could mean he would also miss the match.

Having seen their four-person defence defeated by Brentford, Tuchel could opt for a three-man defence at the back, starting Thiago Silva, Cesar Azpilicueta and Antonio Rudiger.

Reece James and Marcos Alonso are also expected to return to action.

Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic are expected to return to the midfield.

Pulisic is likely to start ahead of Timo Werner on Wednesday, while Hakim Ziyech and Kai Havertz will both hope to hold their places.

Romelu Lukaku could start from the bench as he has not been impressive for the Blues lately.

Chelsea possible starting lineup: Mendy; Azpilicueta, Silva, Rudiger; James, Jorginho, Kovacic, Alonso; Ziyech, Mount; Havertz
