UCL: Chelsea suffer second defeat vs Juventus

It appears the Blues may find it hard to bounce back after their first defeat of the season last weekend to Man City in the Premier League.

This comes as Chelsea suffered a second defeat of the season in a row on Wednesday night during their Uefa Champions League match vs Juventus.

Juve’s striker, Federico Chiesa, scored the lone goal against the Blues in Turin as Juventus won all three points.

Chiesa sneaked in on the goalpost and fired the ball past Edouard Mendy 11 seconds into the second half.

The goal came at a moment, the Blues were still processing their half-time adjustments, and till the end of the game, they were unable to recover.

Chelsea had chances of equalising but didn’t use it well.

One was when Ross Barkley was brought in; the English midfielder who has not made a Europe appearance for Chelsea since August 2020 created an impact as he made a pass to Romelu Lukaku, only dor the striker who signed for £98million to blaze it wide.

Kai Havertz also headed a ball from a Bell Chilwell corner, but it was not enough to save them from losing.
