Two Man Utd stars who were source of inspiration to Mount

Manchester United summer signing Mason Mount, has revealed two stars from his new club that were the source of inspiration to him.

Mount named Cristiano Ronaldo and David Beckham the two Man Utd stars.

Recall that the English midfielder officially became a Man United player this week after he joined them from Chelsea.

Upon his arrival, he was handed the iconic number 7 jersey worn by Ronaldo and Beckham in the past.

Speaking in his first interview, Mount was quoted by Man United’s official website as saying, “I had a lot [of inspirations]. Looking at obviously Ronaldo, I know you have seen the little video of me when I was younger – I loved watching him play and his free-kicks.

“Becks [Beckham] was also a massive inspiration of mine, growing up with his free-kicks, and I was in awe of his technique.

“So yeah, I have had a lot of inspiration from many players. But you take a little inspiration from different parts of their games and try to put it into yours.”
