Tuchel reveals best position for Silva and Christensen

Ahead of Chelsea game vs. Leeds United in the Premier League on Saturday, the Blues coach Thomas Tuchel has revealed the best position for two of his players namely; Thiago Silva and Andreas Christensen.

Tuchel who took over from Frank Lampard in January seems to have study some of his players and has found out the best position they can perform.

According to Tuchel in a recent statement, he noted that the best position for Silva in the Chelsea squad is the ‘middle’ in a back three defence formation.

He added that the duo of Silva and Christensen can play together for sure.

He added that he was very sure that Christensen can play on both sides of the back three, and can also play alongside Silva as centre-backs in a back four.

”The position in the middle is the best for Thiago, but Andreas is also on the same level, and he can also play on both sides, so there is no problem,” Tuchel told Chelsea official website.

Silva will be unavailable when the Blues take on Leeds United on Saturday after he suffered a set back during training.

With the look of things, Tuchel will likely start Christensen in his place.
