Tuchel on Broja’s injury and Sterling starting vs Club America
Chelsea are currently on tour in the US where they will be playing Club America.
Speaking ahead of the match, the Blues coach Thomas Tuchel gave an update on Armando Broja’s injury and the chances of new striker Raheem Sterling starting against Club America.
Tuchel in a pre-match statement said Broja had a little accident in training with the ball control and landed in a funny way on his ankle and Achilles.
“He is in pain but nothing is injured – we did the examinations and it’s just pain. He is lucky that he did not get injured. We are lucky and happy that he did not injure himself,” the Blues manager said.
Tuchel added that Broja is not in training as he is receiving treatment.
On Raheem starting against Club America, Tuchel said, “we have not decided the line up but he did not train every minute with the team so it is not very likely that he will play.”
