Tuchel gives Kovacic injury update ahead of gave vs. Man City

Chelsea on Saturday will be making a trip to Etihad Stadium where they will face Man City in the Premier League.

While Chelsea will be heading to the match with huge boost following their recent win over Spanish club, Real Madrid in the Champions League, Man City will also be heading to the match after their win over French side, Paris Saint Germain PSG in the same tournament.

Speaking ahead of the weekend match, the Blues manager, Tuchel has given the injury update.

According to the manager, only Matteo Kovacic will be unavailable for the match but he hoped he would be fit before their match vs. Arsenal.

”In terms of the injury list, it does not change much,” Tuchel said.

“We still have the training to go later today where things could change, but right now, everyone is ready for the match except Kovacic.”

Tuchel stressed Kovacic is unfortunately still out but hopes to bring him back for the game against Arsenal and then hopefully for Wembley FA Cup final against Leicester City.

“It will be tight for the Arsenal game but for tomorrow, for sure, he will be out. Everyone else is available for tomorrow’s match,” Tuchel revealed.
