Tuchel describes this Chelsea star as a professional
Chelsea manager and Germany international Thomas Tuchel is full of praise for Antonio Rudiger.
Tuchel, in a statement, described the German defender as a professional player who doesn’t need any pampering.
The Blues coach revealed Rudiger has kept proving his professionalism week in week out for the club.
Rudiger’s future at Stamford Bridge is still in doubt as his current contract is due to expire in the summer, and so far, he is yet to sign a new deal.
The German star has been linked with an exit from the club.
“He needs to feel the connection and the trust, he wants to feel it by minutes and actions. He doesn’t need words or pampering. He is a top pro, this is what he proves.
“He is very important, nothing has changed. It’s in good hands,’ Tuchel said of Rudiger,” Tuchel said at his press conference on Friday.”
Rudiger remains a key player at Chelsea despite his imminent departure. He has been linked with moves to Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.
