Manchester United to battle Chelsea for world-class star

Manchester United could apparently be prepared to battle Chelsea to sign Atletico Madrid shot-stopper Jan Oblak during this present summer’s transfer window.

The Blues have purportedly distinguished the 27-year-old as the perfect replacement for Kepa Arrizabalaga, with Chelsea expected to move for another goalkeeper ahead of the 2020-21 season.

Manchester United could also be in the market for another goalkeeper because of David de Gea’s struggles, combined with the vulnerability encompassing Dean Henderson’s future.

As indicated by report, Manchester United could battle their Premier League rivals for the Slovenia goalkeeper, in spite of the fact that Atletico Madrid are probably going to request that his full £109m release clause is met.

Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone recently conceded that he was “not shocked” that clubs were revolving around Jan Oblak, who has a contract at the Wanda Metropolitano until the summer of 2023.

The 27-year-old has saved 22 clean sheets in 48 outings for his Spanish club this campaign.
