Chelsea star rejects rewarding contract from Inter
Chelsea winger Willian doesn’t yet have a deal for next season, however obviously he’s not exactly prepared to leave for America yet just to get one.
Willian dismissed a “rewarding” three-year offer from Inter Miami, which would’ve paid him “more than” £100k weekly through 2023. Liberal terms, no doubt.
Inter Miami co-owned by ex-Manchester United David Beckham started play this year, however they have only played two games and both losses before the 2020 MLS was suspended because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Recently the League just resumed play, a week ago, but, with a short tournament set to finish in October, however Inter Miami are still searching for their first official win.
Willian presently has a temporary contract with Chelsea through the end of the season, has clarified that he needs to remain in Europe, ideally England, and ideally on a three-year deal.
The Blues remain apparently reluctant to offer such terms, so as things stand, Willian will leave in August. He’s been probably the best player since the restart in any case, which could yet observe the two sides agree for an extension.
