Tottenham talks with former Chelsea coach breaks down

There are now indications that Tottenham Hotspurs will have to look elsewhere for another manager to lead them next season.

This comes as the latest report revealed that Tottenham talks with former Chelsea coach, Antonio Conte break down on Friday following some demands given by the Italian which the club did not readily agree to.

Conte emerged as Tottenham favourite following his victory with Inter Milan last season in the Seria A and also he helped Chelsea win an EPL when he was in charge at Stamford Bridge.

The reports revealed that Tottenham had hoped to reunite Conte with outgoing Juventus director of football Fabio Paratici, who is set to join the club in a similar role.

Recall that they worked together at Turin and helped turn Juventus into the dominant force in Italian Seria A.

Paratici is expected to be involved in the search for a new manager.

Despite Conte’s record, Tottenham’s pursuit of him was at odds with what chairman Daniel Levy plans for the club.

Levy said he wanted to return to the club’s “core DNA” which had been lost during the appointment of Mourinho.

Conte, while being an excellent coach, did not fit and reports in his native Italy say he also had reservations about joining.

A report has claimed that Tottenham had also been in talks with their former boss Mauricio Pochettino over a possible return but his current club Paris Saint Germain PSG are not ready to let him leave.

Tottenham are currently managed by their 29-year-old academy coach Ryan Mason.
