Atletico Madrid hands transfer boost to Man Utd, Liverpool and others interested in signing this midfielder

Ahead of the commencement of the summer transfer window, Spanish champions Atletico Madrid have handed transfer boost to the likes of Man Utd, Liverpool and others who are interested in signing Niguez Saul.

According to the reports, Atletico Madrid are willing to let him leave this summer if an offer is made.

Saul is pushing for a move away from Madrid despite winning the La Liga title last season because he’s unhappy to have been substituted several times throughout the campaign.

He, however, now feels that he is not regarded as an important player by Diego Simeone and so believes it is time for him to move elsewhere.

According to Marca, Liverpool, United and Juventus are all monitoring the midfielder’s situation and currently value him at around £47m.

Recall that back in July 2017, the midfielder reached a nine-year agreement with Atleti, which runs out in June 2026 and has a £150m release clause.

While Madrid were at first reluctant to sell Saul for anything less than his buyout clause, however, due to the current financial situation, they are now set to lower their valuation of the player.

Saul has made 337 appearances for Atletico Madrid since making his debut at the age of 17 in 2012.
