Dayot Upamecano sends clear Michael Olise transfer message as Real Madrid links intensify
Bayern Munich defender Dayot Upamecano has firmly dismissed speculation linking Michael Olise with a sensational move to Real Madrid, insisting the France international is not going anywhere this summer.
Olise has emerged as one of Europe’s most sought-after attacking talents following another outstanding campaign for Bayern and his impressive performances at the 2026 World Cup. Reports in Spain have suggested Real Madrid could be willing to launch a record-breaking €223 million (£191m) bid to secure the 24-year-old’s signature.
However, Upamecano has played down the growing rumours, making it clear he expects his international teammate to remain at the Allianz Arena.
Speaking while on duty with France, the centre-back delivered a short but emphatic response when asked about Olise’s future, saying: “He stays here, he stays.”
His comments reflect Bayern’s determination to keep hold of one of their most influential players despite increasing interest from Europe’s elite clubs.
Olise has established himself as a key figure since arriving in Germany, combining creativity, pace and goals to become one of Bayern’s standout performers. His form has naturally attracted attention from Real Madrid, who continue to monitor several elite attacking options as they plan for the future.
Despite the speculation, there has been no indication from Bayern that they are willing to entertain offers for the winger. Upamecano’s response also suggests confidence within the dressing room that Olise will remain in Munich beyond the current transfer window.
For now, Bayern appear determined to resist any approach, leaving Real Madrid facing a significant challenge if they hope to lure one of Europe’s brightest attacking stars away from the Bundesliga champions.
