Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly taken a significant step towards signing Monaco winger Maghnes Akliouche, a move that could increase the likelihood of Bradley Barcola leaving the French champions this summer.

Despite lifting consecutive UEFA Champions League titles, PSG are continuing to reshape their attacking options under manager Luis Enrique. The club have already sanctioned the sale of striker Gonçalo Ramos to AC Milan in a deal worth an initial €74 million, and further changes are expected before the transfer window closes.

According to reports in France, PSG have reached an agreement on personal terms with Akliouche over a five-year contract. Negotiations between PSG and Monaco are now underway as the Ligue 1 champions look to finalise the transfer.

PSG are believed to be targeting two attacking reinforcements before considering offers for Barcola. The club remain interested in RB Leipzig winger Antonio Nusa after missing out on highly-rated youngster Yan Diomande, who is reportedly set to choose a move to Paris over Liverpool.

Should PSG complete their planned attacking additions, speculation surrounding Barcola’s future is expected to intensify. The 22-year-old France international has been linked with several top European clubs, with Liverpool among the sides credited with a strong interest.

For Liverpool, PSG’s progress in the transfer market could provide encouragement as they continue to monitor Barcola’s situation. Any successful move for Akliouche would bring the French champions a step closer to reshaping their forward line, potentially opening the door for Barcola to seek a new challenge elsewhere before the new season begins.
