Premier League side Chelsea are still being linked with a summer move for Inter Milan forward Romelu Lukaku as they plan on strengthen their squad.

The blues are reportedly willing to pay £102 million for the Belgium international despite that Inter Milan rejected their second offer worth £85 million along with Marcos Alonso.

Thomas Tuchel has now spoken about the deal for the first time as he labels Romelu Lukaku a fantastic player.

Speaking to the press after Chelsea’s 2-2 friendly draw with Tottenham Hotspur, Tuchel stated that he will not talk about players who don’t play in his squad.

However, he noted that Lukaku is a fantastic player but he’s an Inter player and he will not talk about him in this situation.

Chelsea are yet to make any major signings this off-season but have also been linked with a big-money move for Erling Haaland and Harry Kane.

However, Chelsea’s interest in both players has cooled off in recent weeks as Lukaku is now reportedly their main target.
