This player named Chelsea’s best signing under, Marina Granovskaia
Former football star Tony Cascarino has revealed the best player the Blues have ever signed under Marina Granovskaia.
According to Cascarino, the player is no other person than Senegal international Edouard Mendy.
This comes after Mendy’s impressive performance vs Brentford in the Blues first game after the international break.
Been Chilwell gave the Blues the lone goal needed to win the match against Brentford, but Mendy saved the Blues from losing all three points as he man the goal post till the end of the match.
The Senegal goalkeeper who joined Chelsea from Rennes last year has been described as the Blues best signing as he didn’t cost the West London side a fortune like Kepa Arrizabalaga.
“Chelsea dug deep. Had a goalkeeper that performed miracles, and you could argue that he’s been one of Chelsea’s best ever signings,” Cascarino told talkSPORT.
“He cost £17million from Rennes, came in and seemed to breeze into the team. Showed no signs of concerns of nerves,” Cascarino added.
Mendy will return to action on Wednesday night when Chelsea face Malmo in their next match in the Champions League.
