Former Arsenal star, Paul Merson in a decent statement, has named England international Mason Mount as an unsung hero at Stamford Bridge

According to Merson, he stressed that Mount is the player that makes Chelsea’s squad tick under their new manager, Thomas Tuchel, this term.

Mount’s presence was felt in the Blues during their last two games as they have struggled. They lost two matches in a row vs Man City and Juventus.

However, Mount’s return to the team has been instrumental to the Blues recent victory as he came off the bench in Chelsea’s Premier League 3-1 victory against Southampton on Saturday.

Merson’s says Mount is the player that makes Chelsea tick.

“It will help when Mason Mount comes back,” Merson told Daily Star.

“It’s no coincidence they have lost both the games he’s missed.
