This player doesn’t have to play for Chelsea again
This is according to Man Utd legend Rio Ferdinand, who said Kai Havertz doesn’t have to play for Chelsea again.
Ferdinand, in his statement, stressed that Havertz had paid Chelsea the money they spent in signing him from Bayer Leverkusen in 2020.
Ferdinand made this known while applauding Havertz for leading the Blues to victory against Palmeiras in the FIFA Club World Cup final last weekend.
Havertz scored the winning goal as the Brazilian side had already held the Blues to a 1-1 draw at Abu Dhabi’s Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium.
He also scored the lone goal for Chelsea during the Uefa Champions League last season against Man City.
“He [Kai Havertz] doesn’t have to kick a ball ever again in a Chelsea shirt, he’s repaid the £70m price tag now,” Ferdinand said on his FIVE YouTube channel.
“He’s scored two of the biggest goals in the history of the club.
“Don’t have to do no more! Shut down, undo your boots, take ’em off, chill!
“It’s not gonna happen but listen, if he doesn’t play another game for Chelsea, he goes down in folklore.”
