Former foot a start, Ian Wright has lauded Chelsea midfielder Robus Loftus-Cheek for looking dangerous in the Blues match vs Southampton over the weekend.

Recall that Loftus-Cheek played in the midfield for the Blues and was superb against Southampton.

Chelsea went on to win the match thanks to a 3-1 scoreline thanks to efforts from Trevoh Chalobah, Timo Werner and Ben Chilwell.

Former Arsenal forward Wright, in his statement, singled out Chelsea midfielder, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, for praise over the energy he showed.

“But today, in his box, in midfield, everything. One of the things he’s going to have to do to stay in this Chelsea team, especially as someone who played in a pivot as a [midfield] two, is score more goals,” Wright said.

The football pundit added that Loftus-Cheek has the skill; while people have often said he lacks energy, the Chelsea midfielder now looks scary.

“Looking at Ruben Loftus-Cheek who looks to me like his belly back. He’s dangerous,” Wright added.
