Ten Hag reveals these two players will be out till Christmas

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag in a recent statement has revealed Casemiro will be out of the team till Christmas, which is weeks away.

The Brazil midfielder has been sidelined with a hamstring injury while defender Lisandro Martinez (broken metatarsal) will also not be available for selection until the Yuletide period.

Ten Hag made this known during a press conference ahead of United’s Champions League Group A clash against FC Copenhagen.

When asked about the fitness of Martinez and Casemiro, Ten Hag said: “I have some time schedules, yeah, but it’s always difficult to predict that because they can get setbacks during the rehab period so I’m always holding back a little bit on some issues.

“I expect some [injured players] back but Casemiro and Martinez, they are really strong injuries and I don’t expect them back before Christmas,” Ten Hag said.

“It’s several weeks [for Casemiro].”

Aside from the duo, a number of Man Utd players like Raphael Varane, Luke Shaw, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Tyrell Malacia and Martinez have endured lengthy periods on the sidelines.
