Simeone gives update on Chelsea’s target

Spanish club Atletico Madrid head coach, Diego Simeone, in a recent statement gave a transfer update on forward Joao Felix amid Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal links.

Simeone said Atletico Madrid will try to get the best out of Felix while he remains at the club before deciding on the player amid reported interest from the Premier League clubs.

On the other hand, Felix wants to leave Atletico Madrid ahead of the January transfer window.

The Portugal international has been linked with a move to Chelsea, Man United and Arsenal in the past few days.

Following Atletico Madrid’s 2-0 La Liga win against Elche on Thursday, where Felix got on the score sheet, Simeone said at his post-match press conference:

“While he’s here, I will try to get the best out of João Felix for the club. Then we will see what’s gonna happen.”
