The report revealed that Rudiger had earlier left Chelsea to sign for Real Madrid on a four-year deal and would be unveiled as a Real Madrid player on Monday 20 June at noon.
Following his latest transfer, Rudiger has taken to social media to express his excitement.
The defender in a tweet via his Twitter account on Thursday, said he is proud to join Real Madrid, adding that he cannot wait to play for the ‘huge’ club.
“I’m proud to announce that I’ll be joining @RealMadrid,” he tweeted.
“I’m super excited for all the challenges ahead and can’t wait to play my first games for this huge club.”
